Amber Literary Magazine is a biannual publication that accepts poetry, fiction, nonfiction, drama, and art from writers of all ages. It was founded in 2017 by Kiran Damodaran, a writer from Chatham, New Jersey. We invite all styles and content, whether it be experimental, traditional, or somewhere in between!

 

Amber was created with a focus on projecting the voices of writers of all backgrounds and is committed to serving both new and experienced writers. Each edition is published online.

Kiran Damodaran was born and raised in Chatham, New Jersey. He is a first-year student at Yale University and has had his work published in the Louisville Review, Edison Literary Review, Black Fox Literary Magazine, YARN, Live Poets Society of NJ, Canvas Literary Magazine, and the Writers' Slate. He has received two Scholastic National Medals and was selected as a National Student Poets Program Semi-Finalist.
